BIO
2023 Josie Music Award Nominee, Bobby Ray has been singing and writing music for over 40 years. He grew up in Youngstown, Ohio and spent much of his time singing/playing in church.
Since moving to Nashville in 2021, he has taken the music scene by storm. He plays 20-25 times each month, as well as hosting his own songwriter round. Bobby Ray's greatest influence is Johnny Cash. Folsom Prison Blues was the song that inspired him to learn to play guitar. At four years old he would play that song for dimes. His other influences include Simon & Garfunkle, Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor and REO Speedwagon. Bobby has a unique sound and a way with words that the listener is transported into the story he is telling. |
"It's Always Something was awesome! This had a classic country undertone and it thrived in terms of presence! I love the guitar work and honest approach which is in classic country style! Great track!" BuzzSlayers
